The pearl of the Atlantic

Essaouira, the ancient Mogador, is a laid-back seaside town of whitewashed houses, blue shutters, sea ramparts and a bustling fishing harbour. It’s a world away from the bustle of Marrakech and only around 2h30 by private car.

On the way you’ll see the famous tree-climbing goats in the argan forest and stop at a women’s cooperative. In Essaouira enjoy free time to stroll the medina, watch the fishermen unload their catch, eat freshly grilled seafood at the port, browse thuya-wood workshops and relax on the long sandy beach.

   Departure from Marrakech around 8:00 by private car.

2. 10:00

   Argan forest

   Photo stop with the tree-climbing goats and visit of an argan cooperative.

3. 11:00

   Essaouira harbour

   Watch the blue fishing boats and choose your seafood for lunch at the port.

4. 13:30

   Medina & ramparts

   Free time to explore the medina, the Skala and the craft workshops.

5. 16:00

   Beach time

   Relax on the beach — camel or horse ride on request.

6. 19:30

   Return

   Drive back and drop-off at your hotel around 19:30.
