Imlil & Atlas Mountains Day Trip

Village life at 1,800 m

Imlil is a mountain village around 65 km from Marrakech, the gateway to Toubkal National Park and the starting point for climbs to Jebel Toubkal (4,167 m). The drive passes Tahanaout and the Asni valley with constantly changing views of the snow-capped High Atlas.

With a local mountain guide you walk for about two hours on easy trails between terraced fields, walnut, apple and cherry trees and adobe villages, meeting locals along the way. Lunch can be arranged in a Berber family home or a guesthouse with a panoramic terrace. It’s the ideal cool escape in summer.

   Hotel pick-up

   Departure around 9:00 in a private air-conditioned car.

2. 10:00

   Asni valley

   Drive via Tahanaout and Asni with photo stops over the Atlas.

3. 11:00

   Guided hike

   Meet your local guide in Imlil and walk through Berber hamlets and orchards.

4. 13:30

   Lunch with a view

   Traditional lunch in a local home or guesthouse (not included).

5. 15:00

   Free time

   Relax, take photos or enjoy an optional mule ride.

6. 17:30

   Return

   Back to Marrakech at around 17:30.
